Mr. Diesel himself created the diesel engine to run on veggie oil. Bio diesel is referred to as a non-petroleum-based diesel fuel consisting of short chain alkyl. Typically made with veggie oil or animal fats, this fuel can be used (alone, or blended with conventional petrodiesel) in unmodified vehicles. Bio diesel is distinguished from veggie oil (SVO) (aka "waste vegetable oil", "WVO", "unwashed bio diesel", "pure plant oil", "PPO") used (alone, or blended) as fuels in some converted diesel vehicles. "Bio diesel" is standardized as methyl ester and other non-diesel fuels of biological origin are not included. (Definitions by Wiki Encyclopedia). |
