Nearly 4 years ago my brother began producing a product in his garage consisting of vegetable oil that he claimed took the place of fuel. I had heard talk of “bio diesel”, but had no real idea what it meant. He spent some time, ok a lot of time, reviewing the benefits and impact such a fuel could have on our environment and our check books. I was sold! Not only that, I was excited, even passionate about our new project. Empowered with my new knowledge, I began my search for a family-size diesel automobile. During the search for an automobile that would fit our families need, I came across Flex Fuel.I researched and located stations that carried such fuel. I compared price and mileage. I read and re-read reports. I would look for these vehicles on the road and wanted to speak with someone that drove such a vehicle. They were few and far between at this point, but I was going to find the perfect family-size flexible fuel vehicle. And so my search began. I needed something with room, not too big but not too small either. My 3 boys were tired of being crammed together on road trips, but I still wanted to be sporty. In my search I came across websites, but nothing dedicated to bringing buyer and seller of Flexible Fuel Vehicles together.I went from dealership to dealership in my search. At the time I found many of the sales staff at each dealership were not well versed in what I meant by Flexible Fuel. Armed with my research, I was sure they had a few on their lot, but just where not yet aware. After all, thousand of ffvs had been made but many people did not even know that they owned one.After what seemed a never-ending search. I need a bigger vehicle soon. Could I ever find an alternative fuel vehicle for my family? I broke down and desided that I had to buy something within the week. After reseaching and contacting dealerships in my area I felt that I would never find exactly what I wanted and needed! I wanted a flexible fuel vehicle for my family. Would I ever find it? Later that week I bought a 2000 Dodge Van . I had to buy it my family needed it! What a pretty light blue it is and the sound system was killer. The dealership had indicated that they where not aware of flexible fuel so I knew I could never find one in my area.I would never be able to own an alterative fuel vehicle. I got home with my new mini van and started showing it off to my family. My brother came by to check it out. At first he was in ah " Why did you get this gas hog". Well, I said no one in this area has flexible fuel vehicles or at least they don't know about them. A few seconds passed and he lifted the lid of the gas tank. E-85 was written on the inside of the gas tank plain as day. My goodness it is a Flex Fuel vehicle! That day I purchased my perfect family FFV, the vehicle I had been searching and searching for! The best automobile I have ever owned. What a concept this was! How can I help other buyers and sellers of Alternative Fuel Vehicles find each other? So here I am today doing just that. Finding and locating Alternative Fuel Vehicles for those who are in search, and helping the sales staff get more of these vehicles on the road. Let’s face it; the need for these types of vehicles is becoming more glaringly obvious each day. Although much has changed in the last 4 years and awareness is growing, there is still a need for a resource such as this. My search was not easy, and my hope is to help consumers and sellers find each other more comfortably. Did I mention my monthly fuel bill has been cut in half?! This site is designed is to help those trying to find their next FFV car, truck, SUV or van and to help those sellers find the right buyer for their product. And the sooner the better!
